Slovenian-born Londoner Sabrina Nolan, an actress, singer, and entrepreneur – founder of VIP PR London – has just released her debut music video for her first single, ‘I’ll Be Saying No’. This empowering song emphasises the importance of saying no to the wrong person, carrying the message that it’s better to be alone than with someone unsuitable. Sabrina co-wrote the song with Martin Hollis, who also produced it. Hollis has worked on diamond and platinum-selling records for artists such as Adele, Ed Sheeran, Mumford & Sons, The Rolling Stones, U2, Mark Ronson, Rudimental, and Tom Walker, among others.
Nolan is also known for her work as a business owner and actress. She has appeared in numerous international commercials and provided voiceover work in ‘Kingsman 3’ starring Ralph Fiennes, as well as the BBC series ‘Pure’.
After waiting a decade, Sabrina is finally ready to release her own music and video. She moved to London 10 years ago to pursue acting roles and, soon after arriving, founded her own PR company, VIP PR London. With over 15 years of experience in media and PR, she felt inspired to establish her business while continuing to pursue her passions in acting and music. Her dedication to her work as a publicist often left little time for acting and singing.
“I simply had to release this song.”
“Acting and singing have been passions of mine since childhood, and creating music has always been in my heart. It took a lot of time and patience to create something I truly love,” said Sabrina.
Nolan has also been featured in numerous fashion magazines, including Vogue Portugal, Harper’s Bazaar US, Glamour Portugal, and Harper’s Bazaar Singapore, gaining attention for her fashion statements at the Cannes Film Festival.
In her music video, Nolan wears stunning designs by AmyLynn. A regular attendee of London Fashion Week, Sabrina discovered AmyLynn’s creations at one of the shows and was inspired to collaborate with the designers for her video. Her promo photos for the single also feature outfits by Bella Barnet, a brand with which she has also collaborated.
The music video was directed by Ben Thornley of Sitcom Soldiers, with production by Paul “Bez” Burrows, Chris Jones, Malc Smith, and Gregor Kirk. The video showcases captivating choreography and dynamic dance sequences, with Sabrina performing alongside dancers Kate Haworth and Aaliyah Harriett.
When asked about the inspiration behind the song, Sabrina explained, “Sometimes, we get caught up in our emotions – especially in love – and we lose sight of reality. We might fall in love with the idea of a person rather than who they truly are, even convincing ourselves we’re in love when we’re really drawn to a fantasy of how they should be. In these cases, we have to say ‘no’ and choose to be alone rather than with someone who doesn’t truly meet our expectations. It’s hard to be rational in love, but the sooner we say ‘no’ to the wrong person, the sooner we can find someone who loves us as we deserve.”
Sabrina also spoke about the importance of pursuing our dreams: “If you really love doing something, there’s no time limit on your dreams. You can always start, taking small steps towards your goals. We often underestimate those small steps, but they matter. And you don’t have to compare yourself to anyone else.
“If I had listened to everyone telling me what I should do and when, I would never be where I am today – doing what I love. “
“People will always have opinions, but you are the one who gets to say, ‘This is how my story will be,’ and trust your own path.”
Her debut single, ‘I’ll Be Saying No’, is now streaming on major platforms including American iHeart Radio, London One Radio, Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Deezer, and Qobuz, with more global radio stations expected to follow.
